- Drive type. If your car is all-wheel drive, make sure the part is for all-wheel drive, not rear-wheel drive.
- Engine size. For engine parts, make sure the engine size on the product matches your engine.

The 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS established GM as a dominant force in the pony car wars, delivering accessible street-and-strip performance. Built to handle massive torque, it became a drag racing favorite, securing numerous NHRA class victories with its heavy-duty components and aggressive packaging.
Buyers could opt for the L78 big-block, a 396-cubic-inch (6.5-liter) naturally aspirated V8. This iron-block powerplant featured a 10.25:1 compression ratio and a four-barrel Holley carburetor, producing an underrated 375 horsepower at 5600 rpm and a massive 415 pound-feet of torque at 3600 rpm.
Power routed through a heavy-duty Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission to a tough 12-bolt Positraction rear axle. The F-body chassis paired an independent front coil suspension with rear leaf springs and staggered shocks, a setup optimized for straight-line traction and high-speed stability.
Chevrolet built roughly 100,000 SS units during this three-year run. Highly prized by collectors today for their raw driving dynamics, these cars command premium auction prices. Replacing no direct predecessor in Chevrolet's lineup, this generation was succeeded by the redesigned 1970 model.
