The 2022-2026 GMC Hummer EV redefined electric performance by proving that a 9,063-pound supertruck could sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds. It pioneered the extreme EV segment, combining unprecedented off-road capabilities with massive battery power to dominate both dirt and drag strips.
Propulsion comes from GM's Ultium platform, utilizing three independent electric motors—one up front and two at the rear. Powered by a massive 246-kWh battery pack, this tri-motor setup generates 1,000 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of motor torque, delivered via an all-wheel-drive system.
The chassis features independent suspension with adaptive air dampers that provide up to 15.9 inches of ground clearance. Four-wheel steering enables its signature diagonal CrabWalk, while front and rear virtual lockers route power through single-speed direct-drive units for extreme off-road crawling.
With early production limited to under 15,000 units, this EV remains highly prized by off-roaders. It succeeded the defunct H2 line, bringing the rugged nameplate into the electric era. In production through 2026, it has no announced successor, standing as a unique modern collector piece.
