The 2021-2026 Porsche 911 GT3 992 redefined naturally aspirated performance by lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a blistering 6 minutes and 59.927 seconds, over 17 seconds faster than its predecessor. It remains the benchmark for pure, unfiltered driver engagement and track-focused precision.
At its heart lies the MA275 engine, a dry-sump 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six. This high-revving powerplant delivers 502 horsepower at 8,400 rpm and 346 lb-ft of torque at 6,100 rpm. With individual throttle bodies, it screams all the way to a mechanical crescendo at its 9,000 rpm redline.
For the first time, a double-wishbone front suspension replaces the traditional MacPherson struts, vastly improving front-end grip. Power goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK or six-speed manual. Combined with rear-axle steering, this setup provides unmatched cornering stability.
Though not strictly limited, production remains constrained by factory capacity, making it a highly coveted prize for collectors and track day drivers alike. This generation replaced the celebrated 991.2 GT3 and secures its place in Porsche history before giving way to the hybrid-era 992.2 successor.
