The 2004-2007 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SC57 redefined superbike stability by introducing the world’s first electronic steering damper. Derived directly from Honda's RC211V MotoGP racer, this machine brought unprecedented high-speed composure to the road, setting a new benchmark for racetrack handling.

At its heart lies the SC57E engine, a 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four featuring dual-stage fuel injection with two injectors per cylinder. This powerplant generates a peak 172 horsepower at 11,250 rpm and 85 lb-ft of torque, delivering linear, predictable power across the rev range.

The gravity-die-cast aluminum twin-spar frame utilizes a Unit Pro-Link rear suspension that isolates the frame from rear-wheel shock. Paired with a close-ratio six-speed cassette transmission and Tokico radial-mount front calipers, this chassis excels at mid-corner stability and precise line-holding.

Replacing the lighter CBR954RR, the SC57 was succeeded by the redesigned 2008 SC59 model. Today, collectors and road riders highly prize the SC57 for its robust Honda build quality and analog feel. It remains a sought-after modern classic that balances track pace with daily usability.
