The 2002-2004 Ferrari Enzo brought genuine Formula One technology directly to the street, setting a new benchmark for naturally aspirated performance. It utilized active aerodynamics and advanced traction control to generate unprecedented levels of usable downforce and high-speed cornering grip.
At its heart lies the Tipo F140 B engine, a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12. This mid-mounted powerplant produces 651 horsepower at 7,800 rpm and 485 pound-feet of torque at 5,500 rpm. Redlining at 8,200 rpm, the all-aluminum motor delivers immediate throttle response and a historic exhaust note.
Built on a carbon-fiber monocoque, the chassis uses pushrod-actuated suspension with active damping to maintain absolute track composure. Power goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed electrohydraulic automated manual transmission, which shifts in 150 milliseconds for rapid acceleration.
Ferrari built just 400 units, making it highly coveted by modern collectors who value its analog driving experience. Occupying a central place in the marque's hypercar lineage, this model succeeded the F50 and was eventually followed by the hybrid-powered LaFerrari a decade later.
