The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec II represents the penultimate evolution of the legendary third-generation GT-R lineage. While the base R34 generation commenced in 1999, the upgraded V-Spec II variant was produced from August 2000 until the end of R34 assembly in August 2002. This model succeeded the R33 GT-R and was the final Skyline-badged GT-R before the R35 arrived.

Under the carbon-fiber hood lies the iconic RB26DETT engine, a 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six. This powerplant features dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Rated under the Japanese gentlemen's agreement at an official 276 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 289 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm, actual output was closer to 320 horsepower.

Power is sent through a six-speed Getrag manual transmission to the ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel-drive system, which features an active rear limited-slip differential. This is paired with Super HICAS four-wheel steering and firmer V-Spec II dampers. This advanced mechanical package delivers immense lateral grip, high-speed stability, and superb cornering traction.

Nissan produced exactly 1,855 units of the V-Spec II variant during its two-year run. Today, it stands as one of the most coveted Japanese domestic market performance cars in existence. Highly prized by both serious collectors and track day drivers, its value has escalated dramatically, bolstered by its impending eligibility for legal import into the United States.
